The NAJYRC?
Q. Has anyone ever been on the Young Riders team? Or have gone to trials to compete to be legit on teams? We have a Young Rider's clinic coming up and I'm just curious if anyone else has tried out or has been on the Young Rider's team.. whether it's the Canadian or USA one; I'm unsure about this year, but definately next year if they have another clinic I'd love to try out. If you've tried out, or have any ideas of how to go amongst this, please share your wisdom! Great thanks.

A. i was on the american young riders team a year ago, and it is very tough to get into. its a fun experience though, and it's worth a shot, but the people you are up against are very competetive and it is a tough competition, worth it in every way though. you have to first pass a written test to even go to trials for the american young rider team, you get a book and study and then take a test, if you pass with at least a 87% you can go to trials. trials are mostly dressage and show jumping but there is some cross country. most people do not make it the first time (i did but the girls i was with did not), so don't sweat it if you dont! but just make sure you're ready to make a commitment to travel and compete and train with the team! good… [cont.]
