Has Saurav Ganguly, the captain of SRK's team Knight Riders turned out to be a waste of space and a place too?
Q. Ganguly is not firing and sorry he's had his chances. Twenty Twenty format is not for him. He should frankly step down and give the captaincy to another. It really is a different ball game. Shane Warne has a team of unglorified players and yet just look at them...Shane Warne is a likeable rascal and we all love him!
Asked by Richard B - Mon May 5 02:46:49 2008 - - 19 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Before making such comments about a great personality, you better go out in the field and see how many runs you yourself can score. It's easy to criticize others, but not that easy to do it yourself. But I too agree that the T20 format is new to Ganguly, and that's why he is having some problems. But he did score a very beautiful half century against the Rajasthan Royals. If Sourav is a waste of place, then the same should be applied for Dravid and Laxman also. Why are the people taking only Ganguly's name? I guess it's just because people don't like to see Bengalis around, because the tigers of Bengal create problems for others.

Old cowboy movies show horses running at full gallop in the dessert, horse teams pulling wagons and riders.?

MotoGP : Is this the end .............?
Q. ... for good ? Do you remeber a few weeks back I said about the smaller MotoGP teams showing an intrest in the new Moto2 class ? Well they have: " All six independent MotoGP teams Tech 3 Yamaha, Gresini Honda, LCR Honda, Pramac Ducati and Grupo Francisco Hernando Ducati and Scot Honda all submitted entries for two-rider teams. " That from MCN. Well lets start at the top, Tech 3 might have Monster backing now, but the rumours are it peanuts. Can they pay 4 riders in 2 class's ? Gresini Honda, depite his conections to HRC the team is run on a shoe string compared to say HRC - Repsol. LCR / Pramac & Scot all skint before the title started. As for the GFH Onde 2000 Team, well they were going to run 2 riders at one point then found… [cont.]

A. Hi wiggysan Even as many teams flock to Moto2, I don t think the sponsors will follow with the same enthusiasm. In today s world riders and teams are important, sponsors are more important. For Dorna (and everyone for that matter) MotoGP Premier class is the most important. Is the one that draws attendance, TV audience and sponsors. I don t think 125cc and Moto2 would get international broadcast without the big guns also there, so sponsoring a team on these classes doesn t have the same impact. It would be interesting to see how much audience do we have during the 125, 250 and MotoGP races, and how many of those following the small classes are doing so just because they are warming up for the 800s. Without MotoGP, Moto2 can't survive… [cont.]

Are all the top cyclists in the Tour de France after the yellow jersey?
Q. I have never really kept up with the tour until this year and am just now realizing how intricate the race dynamics and strategy actually are. Every rider seems to be in the race for a different reason. There are some riders who have no chance of winning and are just trying to get their team leaders to win. Then there are the top riders who are vying for the yellow, green and polka dot jerseys. I know the yellow jersey is the most prestigious but are all the top riders (team leaders) actually going for it? I have noticed the green jersey standings seem to be different from the yellow jersey standings. At this point I haven't seen the tour favorites continually sprint for the finish. A. Teams in the Tour are there with different goals. Some teams are looking for an overall win, some are looking to win one of the other jerseys, maybe more than one. Some other teams are just looking for a stage win or two. The guys looking to win over all will avoid getting involved in the sprints because of the danger of an accident. Even the guys looking to win the green jersey have to use a bit more caution than the guys going all out for a stage win, if you fall and injure yourself, you could be out of the race and lose all chance of winning the jersey at the end

Im after footage of a rider in the Tour de France a few years ago who unclipped and outstretched like superman?
Q. He saw the camera and thought it would be a good time to do some showing off. It looked pretty aerodynamic! Any ideas? Name of the rider? Team? Year? Bonus points if you can give me a link that lets me download the clip to my computer Thanks Bomb Diggity, Im after the footage more than anything, no intentions of trying it at all! I think the year was 2003 or 04. Anyone have the DVD that might know? ...and it wasn't Robbie McEwen. He is a bit of a show pony and has pulled a few awesome tricks in his time. On that note, Ill extend the challenge to any footage of show ponying for the camera in the TDF from any year. I prefer clips I can download ie: not youtube, but post them anyway. Cheers!

It will train your muscles in the same way that you will need. btw I think his name was Robbie McEwin but don't hold me to that. here is a video of someone doing the exact same thing - try contacting him for tips good luck

What percentage of Yankees/Red Sox fans are bandwagon riders?
Q. There are so many people in the baseball section that like the Red Sox or Yankees which makes me wonder how many of them are true fans of those teams. What is the reason for the Kolkata Knight Riders so badly this IPL?
Q. Yes, there have been issues with this team and it got off on a bad note with the whole "multi-captain" theory. People are quick to blame SRK and Buchanan. But they are people who only work behind the scenes. What about on the field? Ganguly has not really done much this IPL either. Apart from Gayle, nobody has looked any good. Even last year, KKR only finished 6. Its not as if, if Ganguly was captain, KKR would have been a bunch of winners.

A. I think the players are as much responsible for bad performance as the coach is. After all it is the players who play on the field. Controversies have not helped the team as well. There seems to be a rift in the team.Too much publicity has been given to the team and the whole multiple captaincy theory has been blown out of proportion by Buchannan.

skateboard deck size?
Q. Is this a good deck for 110 POUND, 8 OR 9 men shoe size and 5 TO 5:1 inces tall. 7.5 x 31.63 After years of testing by Alien Workshop team riders and staff, X-Band construction is now available to the public. Utilizing the natural strength of wood grain, X-Band decks feature cross plys with the grain running at opposing 45 degree angles. The strength obtained from this unconventional grain configuration allows us to make the deck thinner and lighter than a standard 7-ply deck while increasing the rigidity and pop.

A. Test piloting motorcycles requires becoming familiar with what your doing.Lots of time, practice and dedication, talent and a little money don`t hurt either.Every person that works on his bike and races is basically a test pilot,You got to be ready for anything flying around at them speeds, cause a mistake building the bike can wreck your whole day.A good rider knows how his machine will react and if they are worth their salt they can anticipate and plan moves ahead, but even the best can have a bad day.Learn from your mistakes, cause they can hurt a lot and you don`t want to be repeating it.Basically mate, DO IT.I did,so did my dad, uncles and grandfather. We all raced. My uncle was the one who done the stage 3 kit for the Yamaha MT.It all starts… [cont.]
